OYSTER SHELL
Oyster shell is an optimal and 100% natural source of calcium for dogs. It consists of 95% pure calcium carbonate. The calcium in oyster shell is released slowly and continuously, leading to a stable calcium level in the blood and a consistent supply to the body and bones. Oyster shells also contain collagen, magnesium carbonate, and glycoproteins.
BREWER’S YEAST
Brewer’s yeast is the best natural source of B vitamins, which play an important role in energy metabolism, skin, and nerve function in dogs. It provides vitamins B1, B2, B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), biotin, and folic acid. Additionally, brewer’s yeast contains minerals and trace elements such as magnesium, iron, copper, zinc, and potassium. B vitamins also play a crucial role in maintaining the intestinal mucosa, which is important for the digestive health of our dogs. In particular, niacin and vitamin B2 help maintain healthy mucous membranes.
SANGO CORAL
Sango coral is one of the best natural sources of all essential minerals and trace elements for dogs. It contains over 70 different micronutrients. This special coral is native to the waters around Okinawa, Japan. In the 1950s, Japanese researcher Nobuo Someya discovered that the residents of Okinawa were exceptionally healthy, with many living over 100 years. Civilization-related diseases such as cardiovascular problems and cancer were and remain almost unknown on this island. Someya investigated further and found that a key difference compared to other regions of Japan was the unique water of Okinawa. Analysis revealed that Sango coral enriches the water around Okinawa, making the drinking water of its residents exceptionally pure and rich in minerals and trace elements. Rainwater flows through the fossilized coral reef on which the island sits, absorbing the special ionized minerals and trace elements from the Sango coral while being naturally purified, and then fills the islanders’ drinking wells. Additionally, Sango coral in powdered form is still valued and consumed in Okinawa as a natural remedy. The minerals in Sango coral are entirely natural, alkaline, and highly bioavailable. Particularly noteworthy is the high content of calcium and magnesium in a perfect balance.
IODIZED SALT
The natural nutritional concept of wolves can serve as a fundamental model for the nutrition of our dogs. In nature, wolves eat a prey animal quite literally with skin and fur - and with bones and blood. The latter contains a considerable amount of salt in the form of the electrolytes sodium and chloride. These are essential for the organism of our dogs and play an important role in maintaining the electrolyte balance, regulating the water balance, and other physiological functions. When feeding meat (without blood) in combination with vegetables and fruit, it is therefore essential to substitute sodium and chloride or salt. For our Dog’s Heaven fresh meals we use high-quality iodized salt, in order to provide the dog with sufficient iodine through its food in a completely natural way.
